Tourist Mecca

from $50.00

This is an original fine art print from Cam Hemming exclusive to Who is Henri.

About the artwork

The suburb of Surfers Paradise sits at the centre of Queensland’s sparkling Gold Coast. It’s a bustling city full of tourist hotspots, hotels and backpacker accommodation. And it’s right on the edge of the deep blue Pacific Ocean.

It’s most memorable feature though, given the irony that you need to travel north or south to neighbouring beaches to find a great surfing break, is it’s 1990’s style brightly coloured shopping arcades.

In this image, the bright midday sun beams down from a perfect blue sky, casting shade across the bright facades of souvenir shops, wax museums, surf shops and restaurants catering for the international tourist crowd.
