Lake Hillier
This is an original fine art print from Cam Hemming exclusive to Who is Henri.
About the artwork
Nestled in the sands of the Recherche Archipelago sits Lake Hillier, Australia’s “most popular” pink lake.
It’s not an easy lake to get to given its remote location south-east of Esperance (Western Australia) on an island literally surrounded by the shark filled waters of the Indian Ocean, but for those who make the trip the view of this 600m long natural wonder makes it all worth it.
The lake’s bubblegum colour is a result of the extremely high salinity levels in the lake, and given the lack of tidal flow or weather events effecting the water it remains an almost perfect pink all year round.
This is an original fine art print from Cam Hemming exclusive to Who is Henri.
